Saturday we drove out to Winnsboro, in east TX with Jared, Dawn and the boys. It is nice to experience the peace and serenity of the country. Next July (it will be here before they know it)Jared will finish his 3-year residency and be ready to jump into a real paying job, complete with benefits. East Texas is one area that they are considering. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!...rolling hills and lots of trees and green - almost an anomaly for Texas! Winnsboro, a town of 4,000 people, has a great family Mexican restaurant, an Italian one too (more upscale), Brookshire's grocery, two Dollar Stores, Sonic, Dairy Queen, several banks, antique shops and even more than one stop light!!! Collin especially enjoyed the huge jungle-jim playset at the city park. Alex spent more time checking out the leaves, bugs and rocks! It was a great day.
